more translation of Aki-sama's blog. he's once again enticed by the insects... ^^
what kind of insects do you think appears on spring?
i remember he talked about cicadas last summer....

haru no yoru no yume
Spring Night Dream

ima sakki made, mushi ga naiteimashita.
kireina nuiro de.

Until just now insects were singing.
In a beautiful tone.

chisai karada nanoni
mado wo sukoshi aketa hera no uchi ni
ookina koe ga hibikuwaretattemashita.

Even with such small body
from the small opening of the window
a loud voice is echoing accross inside my room.

dore dake no seryou nandeshou.
How long would this volume lasts?

karada zenbu furuwasete.
hane mo furuwarete.
kitto inochi mo furuwasete.

Whole body trembling.
Wings also trembling.
Certainly life is also trembling.

burogu wo kaiteitara
yandeita uta ga hajimarimashita.

As I'm writing this blog
the song that once stopped started.

mushi no namae mo
uta no na mo
shiranakutemo
nantonaku tsutawaru kigashita
gogatsu no yoru.

Even though I don't know
neither the name of the insect
nor the name of the song
somehow I'm induced* by the mood
May evening.

* 伝わる means to be handed down/ be transmited with/be introduced to, but since it sounds weird in English, I took the liberty to change it to "induced" since I don't think the meaning would change.

fast translation, because I'm in the middle of overtime at the office and i don't wanna stay too long.
talking of Shanghai World Fair, my office submitted a design for the Indonesian Pavilion Competition, but we lost ... so ...

no romaji for today. sorry @.@ i wanna get away from here as soon as possible.
it's Mayday and saturday, yet I'm working at the office

Brilliant Wind

Shanghai World Fair has opened its curtain.

One private memory that comes to mind
the Tsukuba World Fair.
The guidebook was literally hole opened to read
while walking around, holding tight to my parents' hands
feeling so enthusiastic.

For the people a generation above me,
it should be Osaka World Fair.

Festival of the future.
Festival of hope

Seperated by the ocean, here in Japan, Tokyo
From the brilliant wind, I recall a scene of my family.

April is ending,
The Golden Week is starting.
Was starting again.
Supposing it's not yet starting.
Well, it's no way.
Speaking of which, respectively May has opened its curtain.

The wind carries from the warm and mild spring, to summer
For tomorrow, to rain incessantly.

Just before I went home from office, I had an urge to click on akihidelife and to my surprise, he updated.
I read fast, and was smiling to see what he wrote.
On the way home I looked up and found the exact same full moon as he saw.

Tsukiakari.
Moonlight

Shinkouhoukou, kireina ookina tsuki.
A big and beautiful full moon.

Mukashi no hito,
sonna tsukiakari wo yoridokoro ni shite
kurai yoru wo aruiteitandarounaa.

People in the past
used this kind of moon as support
to walk in the dark of the night

Oikaketemo, oitsukanai.
Nigetakutemo, nigerenai.

Even if I'm chasing it down, I can't catch up with it.
Even though I want to run away, I can't escape.

Tsuki wa toki ni
Yume ni tatoerare
Tsuki wa toki ni
Shinkou ni tatoerare

The moon sometimes
is given as example in a dream
The moon sometimes
is given as example in religion

Tooku mo naku
Chikaku mo naku
Itsumo soko ni
Kireina sugata de iru.

Not far
Not near
Always there
in its beautiful shape.

Seiyakana yosora no naka demo
kouburu arashi no yosora demo
Jibun wo miushinawanai tsuyosa wo
tsuki ni manande, terasarete.

Up above in the clear starry night sky
Up above in  the rough and stormy night sky
So I will not loose sight of power,
learning from the moon to shine, enlightened.

An advancing reverse direction, the back of the beautiful moon.
I'm being pushed by the moon to come home on the way back home.

Ashita,
Ii hi de aare.

Tomorrow,
Have a good day
