[Arashi ni Shiyagare Recipe] juppun de tsukureru fuwaffuwa pankeki (2013 08 10)
I love Nino (and I love looking at Nino cooking) ... and I love cooking ... and I love pancake ... so if you combine them together as in yesterday's Arashi ni Shiyagare, I will replay it again and again and I might make the pancake itself. But first, I will have to buy an electric mixer or I will have to make the meringue using manual mixer (tried making sponge cake without electric mixer and it killed my arms for days).
See what Nino made!! Don't they look tempting? ^_______________^

Again, I'm only writing down the recipe instead of really writing down the translation of the conversations.
Original recipe in Japanese can be seen on NTV's site under 「30分で作れるふわっふわパンケーキ」
fluffy pancake that you can make in 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 medium sized eggs
50gr plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 table spoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
60 gr milk (low fat milk)
20 gr yoghurt
How to make:
For garnish (not shown in the show):
PS: I think the the title of the recipe does not do justice to the actual time you need to spend in preparing this pancake from scratch. I mean, just cooling down the yoghurt and milk mixture already spend about the first 20 minutes. Hahahaha...
PS 2: I would rather not use the fresh cream recipe if you're from a country where it is not safe to eat raw egg (my home country is an example). I say, just use normal whipcream or pre-made one instead.
PS 3: I would skip the fresh cream or even whipcream because I don't like it. Will use vanilla ice cream, fruits, maple syrup and chocolate syrup instead.
I wonder if Nino ate the pancake too.
Looking forward to see what they will make in the next episodes. ^_______^

fluffy pancake that you can make in 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 medium sized eggs
50gr plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 table spoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
60 gr milk (low fat milk)
20 gr yoghurt
How to make:
- Mix yoghurt and milk, leave it for 30 minutes.
- Separate egg yolk and its white, put the white in the fridge to cool it down.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix milk-yoghurt mixture and egg yolks and then mix in the sifted dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Leave the mixture to make meringue. Using electric mixer, mix the white eggs. Mix in sugar in 3 steps. Mix well until the bubble are steady enough.
- Mix in the merengue mixture into the one prepared before. The point to remember here is to mix it in the meringue mixing style - starting from the middle and scoop out while turning the bowl around. This way you won't loose too much bubbles.
- Using non-stick pan, fry the pancake until golden brown. Point to remember here is to cool down the pre-heated frying pan on wet napkin before frying the batter. And to make the outside crispier, bake it in preheated oven (180ºC) for 8 minutes
For garnish (not shown in the show):
- Fresh cream made of meringue (made using 1 M sized white egg and 1 table spoon sugar) and 40gr of fresh cream and 4 gr of sugar. Mix all this ingredients together (see again how to mix meringue into other mixture above), then pile it up on the pancake.
- For finishing, garnish the pancake using fruits (cut apple, grapefruits, strawberry, banana, and orange), then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
PS: I think the the title of the recipe does not do justice to the actual time you need to spend in preparing this pancake from scratch. I mean, just cooling down the yoghurt and milk mixture already spend about the first 20 minutes. Hahahaha...
