Not my best translation, because it's done in a dash without much thinking.
But I found this entry very cute.

After a long break, I translate akihidelife again

OK!! Akihide-san's entry on Valentine's Day....

Valkyrie in Love

Today is Valentine's Day

Women who are in love
Became a love fighter*
Preparing chocolate
As their weapon
To shoot the heart of young men.

Do your best, Valkyrie.
May this fight ends up with happiness.

* Fighters in love... thus became Love Fighter... just because. Hahaha...

In Norse mythology, a valkyrie (from Old Norse valkyrja "chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures who decide who will die in battle. The valkyries bring their chosen to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin, where the deceased warriors become einherjar. There, when the einherjar are not preparing for the events of Ragnarök, the valkyries bear them mead. Valkyries also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty, sometimes accompanied by ravens, and sometimes connected to swans.

Happy belated Valentine's Day to all...!!

Here goes another interpretation/translation of AkihideLife – blog of BREAKERZ’s guitarist, Akihide-san.

I decided to make this one first, because this post is more interesting to read compared to others waiting for my translation. Too bad that, as always, there's always a loss of beauty and meaning while you're translating/interpreting. Correction is always appreciated. I'm still a beginner.

For this one, I decide to do also translation to Bahasa Indonesia. Forgive me that the words I'm using in the Bahasa Indonesia version is kind of mellow. The mood feels correct. Btw, the italic word means that he wrote in English using katakana, and the normal fonts are my comments.

On to the translation and more )

i think i need more and more practice.
Will do translation on Monoral's blog post too ... but maybe I will translate it to Bahasa Indonesia instead? I always wanna try to do so. But we'll see if i still have the energy to do so after working over time tonight.

This is my first try ever to translate Japanese. The object being translated is Akihide-san’s blog entry. Akihide-san is one of the guitarists of BREAKERZ. Aside from being a guitaris, he is also a web designer and an illustrator. He has a flash movie theater in his website. Even if you can’t speak Japanese, the art itself is interesting.

Back to the translation. I want to keep this translation as fluid as possible, so this is not really word-to-word translation. Although I know by doing so, I am throwing away the beauty that is Japanese language.

Correction will be appreciated. I am still a beginner.
